P3 Learning From Home

Welcome to our new way of learning!

Over the next few weeks schools may close but we still want you to continue learning. We have several suggestions to help you do this.

IDEAS FOR END OF TERM 2:

  1. We would like you to continue this term with our spellings. You can complete each spelling week as usual.
  2. Phonics workbook
  3. Easter Activity book (includes literacy, maths etc)
  4. Weather (blue topic book)

In term 3 we will continue with:

  1. Spring
  2. Number Book
  3. Shape / Time/ Measure Book
  4. Mental maths strips
  5. Literacy activities

Remember the activities in these books will be completed over the next few weeks/ months!  Not in the one week! Every child will complete the work at their own speed. We will make a recommendation of activities to complete as time moves on.

On-Line Learning

We have reminded you all of your C2K passwords and Mathletics sign in.

We will also update the class page on our website. This will tell you of the topics we should be covering each month.

We hope to introduce you to Google classroom. Each child will log on through C2K and have access to activities chosen by the teacher.

In class we often use activities from Twinkl. This is offering free subscription at the moment and has a vast variety of learning.

Topmarks is great for maths work and can easily be linked to our areas of learning.

BBC Bitesize is another safe website suitable for P3.

There are many more and we will keep creating links to great activities on our class webpage or Google classroom.

Please continue to read as much as possible. If you can’t get your hands on books then try reading e-books.

We have given you a link within 'Reading at home' page. There is also quite a selection on ‘Twinkl’ website.

Please continue to learn through play, cooking, board games etc. This is a good opportunity for families to learn together.
