Lough Neagh Discovery Centre

 

On Tuesday 3rd October our class went to Lough Neagh Discovery Centre.  We had a fantastic day and took part in a range of activities including Pond Dipping, Bird Watching and a Mini Beast Hunt.  Here are some photos of our trip...

Healthy Break Winners

 

Primary 6P won the Healthy Break Award for October 2017 ...

Primary 6 Class Assembly

 

On Friday 9th November P6 held their class assembly in the morning to acknowledge Remembrance Day. We performed a little story explaining the reason why we wear poppies, sang a lovely song and read a prayer all linked to Remembrance Day.

 

Christmas in P6

 

We made beautiful wreaths to decorate the hall for Christmas, we also made some Christmas lanterns, Christmas pictures, Christmas cards and bookmarks.  We have been very busy!

               

P6 Visit Brownlow Library

 

P6 visited Brownlow library during February and March.  The class were given lots of information about the library, what we can use the library for, and how the library system works.  The class were able to use their library cards to borrow books and return them on the next visit.  We even got to do some fun activities on the library computers.  

 

 

 

 

"Bee Safe" Information Day

 

On Monday 12th March P6 travelled to Portadown to attend a Bee Safe Education programme, organised and presented by the PSNI.

We learned a lot about safety in different situations such as: electricity, buses, safety in the kitchen, and safety while playing in our neighbourhood.  It was a fun afternoon while learning valuable information  on how to "Bee-Safe"

 

 

World Book Day 2018

On Friday 16th March we celebrated World book Day.  The class dressed up as their favourite book characters and we were treated to a visit from a librarian who read stories to each class.
