Welcome to our class page. We are so looking forward to the year ahead and will be showcasing our fantastic work on our webpage and on Seesaw. As well as pictures we have also shared some useful website links and documents in the 'stars' below.

Word Building

We have been using our phonic skills to build some cvc words. 

Adding with Numicon

P1 have been adding using practical resources. Today we investigated number bonds to 5 using Numicon.

Construction

Our Play Based Learning theme is week is ‘construction toys’. The children are having a great time exploring the different materials and areas.

ICT

P1 have been using the iPads to explore some simple coding through the Bugs and Buttons app. The children have also been learning how to programme a Beebot to move along a linear path.

Daily Mile Santa Run

The children took part in the Daily Mile Santa run last week and had a great time being active with their Christmas accessories.

Children in Need

 

Pudsey came to visit P1 on Children in Need Day. He was very grateful for the money raised by all the children in Drumgor

Just2Easy

We used the iPads to explore the app Just2Easy. The children had to create a Halloween picture using the correct background and pictures. They had great fun exploring.

Chocolate Apples

 

The children in P1 had great fun making chocolate apples. They dipped their apple into the chocolate then added sprinkles before waiting patiently for them to dry then munching them.

Halloween

 

We have been having lots of fun with our Halloween themed play. The children have carved pumpkins, made eyeball soup and dressed up in Halloween costumes. What fun we’ve had!

Numbers


The children have been look at number 0 and 1 in numeracy. They had a carousel of activities and different stations to explore these numbers.

Colour Matching

We went outside on a colour hunt today. Each child head a colour card and had to find a leaf to match. We had great fun looking at the lovely Autumn colours and matching them to the colour on our card.
