Primary six have had a fantastic opportunity to be coached by professional basketball players. They are learning lots of new skills before they compete in a competition with other schools.

We visited Drumgor Youth Centre to take part in a workshop for Children’s Mental Health week.

We had a fantastic morning learning from Made for More. We played games and had lots of challenges while learning about how we can control our emotions.

Numeracy Fun!

Learning about data and frequency tables was fun when it involved counting Smarties and then eating them! 

Exploring WWI and WWII items.

We were very privileged to have had the opportunity to see and try on some items from World Wars. We saw coins from Britain, Ireland and Germany and which would have been in circulation during both wars. We tried on a German / Russian gas mask, a British helmet from late WWII and a Swiss Bayonet from WWI.

Pen Licence Winners

Well done to Ben and Martin for being the Stars of this week. 

Proud Cloud Jar

Well done to our first winners of ‘Proud Clouds’. I was very impressed by their poems today. 

Drawing and building 3D Shapes.

Today we explored 3D shapes further. Primary 6 used pictures of 3D shapes and followed the front, too and side views to recreate the shape using inter-locking cubes. They also had some fun creating their own 3D shapes. 

Our New Class Library

Primary 6 have really enjoyed choosing their books for DEAR time in our classroom.
