Numeracy
We have been continuing our work on metres. We are very good at estimating and measuring different lengths inside and outside the classroom.
World Maths Day. The children had great fun exploring our school grounds looking for some natural materials to make any number they wanted. The children also had some numeracy equipment to use as well.
Primary 4 have been investigating measure. We estimated and used our metre sticks to see how close we were to 1 metre. We are getting very good at estimating and measuring!
Our new topic in numeracy is measure. Children used a ruler to measure objects in the playground to familiarise themselves with centimetres.
