Choir at Christmas
The weeks before Christmas always prove a busy period for the school choir, with performances at carol services and other Christmas celebrations. The first event they took part in this year was the Christmas light switch-on, on Wednesday 30th November. Then, on the evening of Tuesday 5th December they performed at Craigavon Presbyterian Church's Carol Service. On Wednesday 6th December they entertained parishioners at St. Saviour's Church of Ireland, and on Wednesday 13th they sang to customers at Tesco Extra.
On Friday 18th November, we held a non-uniform day to raise money for Children in Need. Altogether, pupils and staff donated a whopping £472 for this worthwhile cause!
Great work everyone!
From Monday 7th November, we sold poppies to raise money for the Royal British Legion's appeal. On Friday 11th, P6 hosted a special Remembrance Day assembly, outlining the history of the symbol. We then had a two-minute silence at 11:00. On Sunday 13th, members of the School Council laid a wreath at Lurgan Cenotaph. Thank you everyone who donated or took part during the week of remembrance.
