On Wednesday 16th December we had our annual Christmas Dinner. Thank you Mrs Shanks and the rest of the kitchen staff for providing such a lovely meal for everyone.
That evening the P1-3s had a super Christmas party, while the P4-7s came later for a groovy Christmas disco!
On Tuesday 15th December, the P1-7 pupils made the short journey to Craigavon Omniplex to see 'The Good Dinosaur', in the 'Maxx' screen. Thank you to the Friends of Drumgor for providing the buses for the occasion.
The Friends of Drumgor held a raffle for a splendid Christmas hamper. Congratulations to Lee from Mrs McKeown's class on purhcasing the winning ticket!
Thank you to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket. £263 was raised for school funds!
On Friday 11th December we all came to school dressed as 'brightly' as possible to help raise awareness of being seen on the roads through the winter months. Dave from Sustrans told us in assembly about how reflective and fluorescent clothing help make us more visible. Also in assembly, Revd Lachlan Webster reminded us that Jesus is the Light of the World. Later that morning, Dave conducted some visibility experiments with the P5s.
On Sunday 8th November, Tylar and Morgan, alongside Mr Flack and Mrs McKeown, laid a wreath at Lurgan's Cenotaph for the town's annual service of remembrance.
Congratulations to Mrs Phillips's P6s for being the first class in our school to achieve 100% in their healthy snack register. This means that every boy and girl brought in a healthy break every day for the whole month. Super work indeed!
On Monday 2nd November, we were visited by staff from the Armagh Planetarium. The key stage one and two children were treated to two fascinating workshops. One was on electricity. Some boys and girls acted as conductors, allowing electrical currents to pass through them to turn on and turn off light bulbs! The other activity was inside a dome. Inside this, the children were shown the planets of our solar system and the star constellations in the night sky.
