  • Shannagh-More Residential Trip

    Our Primary 6 boys and girls, accompanied by Mrs Phillips, Miss Johnston and Mrs Stewart travelled to Shannagh-More Outdoor Education Centre, Newcastle from 13-15 May. During their stay the children (and adults!) had opportunities to experience abseilling, rock climbing, canoeing, orienteering, the nightline and an adventure walk. Everyone had an awesome time and the children were complimented by the centre's staff on their excellent behaviour and manners!

  • K'Nex Sentinus Challenge

    On Friday 10 May two teams made up of two P7 and two P6 pupils, travelled to The Royal School, Armagh to take part in a local heat of the K'Nex Sentinus Challenge. This challenge involved a national design and build problem solving activity, organised in Northern Ireland by Sentinus, which gave the pupils an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their imagination, creativity and ingenuity by designing and constructing a model  using K'Nex Construction kits whilst working together as part of a team. The models were judged by a team of Sentinus Ambassadors.
  • P7 Confirmation

    On Wednesday 1 May at St Anthony's Church our P7 Religion Group made their Confirmation in a service attended by a large crowd of family and friends. Congratulations!
  • Brownlow Integrated College Soccer Festival 2013

    Through a mixture of sunshine and very heavy showers, our 6-a-side soccer team made up of P5/6 girls and boys, played in a fun tournament at Brownlow College on Friday 26 April. They played magnificently and many thanks to James, our Brownlow student coach who accompanied the team to each game and gave them excellent coaching tips!
  • Girls' Hockey Tournament

    Our girls' hockey team played sensationally at the Large Schools Hockey Tournament at Brownlow Leisure Centre on Thursday 18 April. They faced stiff competition but tackled bravely and most importantly had a fabulous afternoon playing hockey! Well Done Girls!
  • Diversity and Drums

    Our Primary 6 pupils along with Primary 6 pupils from St Brendan's PS have been involved in a cross community project organised by The Speedwell Trust entitled 'Diversity and Drums'. This project included workshops with the themes of teambuilding, cultural traditions, stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination and of course drumming! Under the expert guidance of Joe Loughlin, the Drummimg Facilitator, the children learned how to play a wide variety of drums from around the world. Their project culminated in a fabulous performance for friends and family and all the other pupils of Drumgor PS! A big 'Thank You' to all involved.
  • Easter Egg Raffle

    Congratulations to our Easter Egg winner! A big thank you to all who supported this fund raising activity, we raised almost £180 for school funds.
  • Art Club Exhibition

    On Thursday 14 March a number of our Art Club members had their artwork put on display at Portadown Fireplaces, Foundry Street, Portadown. Visitors on the opening night of the exhibition commented on the professionalism of the pieces and offers of sale were made! Perhaps we may have a budding Matisse or Picasso in our midst!
    Many thanks to Silva Urbetiene for organising the exhibition and to Portadown Fireplaces for hosting the event. Visitors are free to view the children's work throughout the Easter period.
  • Tag Rugby Tournament, PRFC

    Teams from Primary 6 and 7 represented Drumgor PS at a Tag Rugby Tournament at Chambers Park, Portadown on Monday 11 March. Against a biting wind and snow flurries, the boys and girls put their all into their matches against teams from Millington PS, Bocombra PS, Moyallen PS and Birches PS. Thank you to Portadown Rugby Club for organising this fun event.
  • World Book Day

    World Book Day was on Thursday 7 March and everyone in Drumgor PS came to school dressed as a character from their favourite book. We had a special Assembly to show off all the costumes and hear about each other's favourite books- even the teachers!
