  • CONGRATULATIONS P7!!

    Mrs Joan Shine (SELB World Around Us Advisor) presented the Regional Winners of the SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY CHALLENGE to a group of our Primary 7 Pupils.  They will be representing Drumgor P.S. at the Northern Ireland Finals in the Odyssey Belfast on 19th June 2012. Another team have also qualified for the Northern Ireland K'Nex Challenge Final.
  • Birthday Celebrations

    We have been celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the opening of Drumgor Primary School this year. As part of the celebrations all the children have placed their handprint on this mural in our assembly hall. Many teachers from over the years joined together for a dinner in The Seagoe Hotel. Those present included Mrs Helen McIlroy, wife of our first principal, Mr McClelland, Mrs Margaret Kennedy and Mr Ronnie Harkness. Many photographs from over the years helped bring back so many happy memories.

  • Mummy Mia Arrives in School!

    The pupils from primary 1 to primary 7 enjoyed the visit of Kinetic Theatre group for their new production called 'Mummy Mia.' On their way to rescue Uncle from an Egyptian Pyramid the children had to solve lots of mathematical puzzles, a great opportunity for lots of learning through play!
  • Mini Rugby Festival At Portadown Rugby Club

    A squad of twelve P5-P7 pupils really enjoyed participating in the Mini Rugby Festival held at Portadown Rugby Club on Thursday 26th April. They played five matches and our pictures below show them with and against close rivals Bocombra PS.
  • P7 Trip To Tollymore

    The Primary sevens have just returned from a superb trip to Tollymore Outdoor Pursuits Centre. They spent their 4 day trip in the new Tollymore centre set in the heart of the Mournes. They thoroughly enjoyed a vast range of activities which were both fun and yet very challenging. Well done P7's you were a credit to the school! See more photos in our Gallery.

    Congratulations to this years Easter Egg winner, Erikas Petrovas from P3. Thank you to The Friends of Drumgor  for their continued help in raising funds for the school.
  • World Book Day Thursday 1st March

    The pupils thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters from books. The classes spent the day exploring the world of books, reading to younger pupils, reading with friends and even publishing their own. All pupils were given a £1 book token to be spent in any bookshop or in the school bookclubs.
  • Boreatton Park

     Pupils from Drumgor and Tullygally enjoyed a multi-activity experience in Boreatton Park PGL Centre, Shropshire.  Activities included kayaking, abseiling, rifle shooting, zip-wire, giant swing, quad biking, raft building, aeroball, Jacob's ladder and challenge/assault course.  Children from both schools worked closely together on all activities and many new friendships have been established.

  • Primary 4 pupils meet Sir Steve Redgrave & Eddie Irvine

    Primary 4 pupils enjoyed a multi-activity afternoon at the Craigavon Borough Council Watersports Centre. The pupils took part in a Dragon Boat race against pupils from Lurgan Model PS and were joined by sporting legends, five times Olympic gold medalist Sir Steve Redgrave and Formula 1 racing driver Eddie Irvine. The children then tried their skills on the climbing tower and the afternoon finished with a BBQ.
