  • Primary Seven Competitions

    Primary Sevens Out and About.

    On Wednesday 23rd march our team of 3 primary sevens competed in the Annual Science Challlenge. This year the project was to design and build a tower with a rotating top suitable for Harry potter. Meanwhile our Public Speaking team travelled to the Civic Centre.

    We have really enjoyed the weekly visits of Nadine over the past few years.

    She has coached Primary one to Primary four children as part of the IFA schools programme. Both the children and the teachers have really enjoyed working with her and have benefited from her skills. We will really miss her work in the school but wish her all the best in her new job as a Sports Development Officer with Belfast City Council.

    To celebrate European Day the kitchen staff provided a wide variety of European dishes for school dinner.
  • Lady Cecily's Sound Box

    All our pupils were treated to the drama production 'Lady Cecily's Sound Box.' This very entertaining play, set in Victorian times, explored how sound travels. 
  • READ-A-THON

    We have just presented a cheque for £1320.90 to Claire McAuley from Northern Ireland CLIC Sargent Children’s Cancer Charity. A huge thank you to everyone who donated to this very worthy cause. Parents, it was brilliant to see the children busy reading, the Read-a-thon may have finished but it would be great to see the enthusiasm continue!

     The Primary Sevens have recently begun their 'Fruit Selling' Enterprise. Each break the Primary 7's sell bags of fruit to our pupils. The budding Aprrentices take care of the ordering, selling and accounts for their budding business. Lord Sugar watch Out!
  • School Library Re-opens

    The school library has re-opened much to the delight of the pupils. A brand new library system has been installed with one thousand brand new books  available for the pupils of both Key stage 1 and 2to borrow. Each class will visit the library on a weekly basis and the children will be allowed to borrow 1 book per week. This must be returned before a new book can be borrowed. Please encourage your child to read and to take care of these books.
