     The Primary Sevens have recently begun their 'Fruit Selling' Enterprise. Each break the Primary 7's sell bags of fruit to our pupils. The budding Aprrentices take care of the ordering, selling and accounts for their budding business. Lord Sugar watch Out!
  • School Library Re-opens

    The school library has re-opened much to the delight of the pupils. A brand new library system has been installed with one thousand brand new books  available for the pupils of both Key stage 1 and 2to borrow. Each class will visit the library on a weekly basis and the children will be allowed to borrow 1 book per week. This must be returned before a new book can be borrowed. Please encourage your child to read and to take care of these books.
  • Drumgor Primary School Musical

    The children of Key Stage 2 performed their 'Primary Christmas Musical' on Tuesday 14th December to a packed assembly hall.  Well done to all the children and teachers involved. It was a very enjoyable night and some budding actors and actresses were evident. Photographs and DVD can be ordered from school.
  • Pudsey Bear visits Drumgor

    Pudsey Bear visited our assembly on 18 November 2010. He had been working part-time in B&Q before helping out CHILDREN IN NEED in all their fantastic fundraising efforts. Our non-uniform day raised an amazing £300 Thank you to everyone who supported this day.

    Halloween Fancy Dress

    The children had a wonderful morning at our Halloween Assembly. Everyone had made a great effort to dress up and there were certainly some wonderful characters we would not like to see around our school on any other day.

    Macmillan Coffee Morning

     


    Thank you to the many parents who attended our Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 24th September which raised over £300. They enjoyed a tour of the school to see the children at work after which they were provided with coffee and buns to conclude a very successful morning. Many thanks to the canteen staff for all their help.
  • Book Fair

    School Book Fair
    The 'Travelling Book Fair' visited the school from Friday 15th  - Wednesday 20th October 2010. A huge 'thank-you' to everyone who visited the book fair as a massive £690.00 was spent during the 4 days, earning over £350 of commission to be spent on books! Well done everyone.



    Congratulations to the winners in our Book Fair colouring competition.Each child received a beautiful book pack.





    Members of the Friends of Drumgor presented a cheque for £5102 to the school which has been used to purchase two new interactive whiteboards and numeracy resources. We are indebted to this fundraising committee for all their efforts. A huge thank you from everyone at Drumgor PS.

  • Our Vegetable Garden

    Every day our children are encouraged to bring a healthy snack for break time. This is recorded on a monthly class chart. The class at the end of the month with the best percentage is awarded the 'The Gold Star' Award and presented with a certificate. The winning class for September was Primary Five, Mrs McKeown




     



    The children have been busy in the garden. Our beetroots have been pulled and given to Mrs Shanks, in the school canteen to be added to our menu. 





             


    The Primary 2 pupils have spotted apples growing for the first time on the trees planted in Nov 2008.
