  • Sentinus K'Nex Challenge Northern Ireland Finals

    Two pupils, Eve and Dominykas, came through a heat of the Sentinus Young Innovators K'Nex Challenge to reach the Northern Ireland finals held at the Odyssey, Belfast, on 21 June 2010. Their task was to design and build a windmill. The children got to meet Frank Mitchell and received a certificate to mark their achievements. Well done.
  • Friends of Drumgor Fun Night

    This year our Fun Night was held on 10 June from 5pm - 8pm. Our many attractions included:-
    Inflatable Assault Course
    Spongebob Slide
    Face Painting
    Nail Art & Hair Braiding
    Bouncy Castle
    Farm Animals
    Stalls
    Lucky Dips
    Soak the Principal

    There was also raffle prizes drawn on the night. First prize was a fantastic Nintendo DSiXL and 2nd prize was a Raleigh Hot Rod Bicycle.

  • Shannaghmore 2009

    On Monday 1st June 27 pupils from Primary six travelled to Shannaghmore Outdoor Education Centre with Mrs Phillips, Mrs Traynor and Miss R Mckeever. During the busy two night stay they took part in many activities including Bouldering, canoeing, nightline and orienteering. The weather was excellent.The children behaved extremely well and a good time was had by all.
  • Boreatton Trip

    On Monday 31 May thirty-three P7 Drumgor pupils and twelve Tullygally PS pupils travelled by coach to Dublin, then caught the Swift Irish Ferry to Holyhead and travelled through Wales to Boreatton Park PGL Centre, Shropshire. The children and staff are staying in tented accommodation (with free air conditioning!)
    2.06.10 - On Tuesday the boys and girls enjoyed exciting activities which included hanging around on a Giant Swing, Initiative Exercises and abseiling down a very high tower. On Wednesday they took part in a free flowing Zip Line, Kayaking and even had time to fit in a swim in the on-site Pool, all before tea!
    The wet weather on Tuesday didn't dampen their spirits and everyone has enjoyed the glorious sunshine today. (Wednesday)
    3.06.10 - On Thursday the children woke to more sunshine and will be building their own rafts and testing them out on the lake! They will also be trying to climb the 'Jacob's Ladder.' Tonight the children will be taking part in a 'singing round the campfire' activity with Bocombra PS.

  • P6 Shannaghmore Trip

    Twenty P6 pupils enjoyed a wide variety of outdoor activities at Shannagh-More. The children tried canoeing, kayaking, orienteering, climbing, abseiling and completing a ropes course. The evening activities included a beach walk and Mr Flack's favourite game - 'Floppy Bunnies'
  • Key stage 1 enjoy Birds Of prey

    Drumgor primary welcomed the return visit of Ian Patterson with his birds of Prey. all the children had the opportunity to stroke the birds and some were even able to help fly them. The children showed a great interest and this was evident in the many questions they asked during the display.
  • Royal Mail Writing Competition

    Congratulations to Ethan Smylie and Holly Bissett on their success in this years writing competition. The children had to write about their hero. In the Northern ireland Final Ethan was awarded first place and Holly second out of the ten finalists. Congratulations to you both on this outstanding result.
  • World Book Day

    Drumgor has recently celebrated World Book day with activities taking place in each of the classess. In Key Stage One the children of primary four enjoyed reading favourite stories to primary two while the Primary threes and primary ones joined  up for paired reading.
  • Tag Rugby Festival

    Twelve boys and girls travelled to Cooke Rugby Club, Belfast today to take part in a Tag Rugby Festival organised by IRFU Ulster Branch. They played four matches in which they scored many super tries. Great fun was had by all check out our photos!
