• The Golden Table for October

  On Friday 25 October the Dining Hall was transformed with the arrival of 'The Golden Table'! Twelve pupils from P1-P3 and twelve pupils from P4-P7 had been awarded places at this special table and had received gold trimmed invitations in recognition of their very good behaviour, manners and helpfulness in the Dining Hall over the past month. These children were treated to a very special dining experience and even had waiter service-Mr Flack! He had dressed for the occasion in black suit and shiny gold dickie bow! Congratulations to all our 'Golden Table Winners' this month!

  

• Drumgor PS School Council 2013/14

  After writing manifestos and holding ballots, our eight class school council representatives were elected. The School Council had their first meeting on Thursday 17 October when they elected a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. We look forward to a productive year ahead!

• Halloween Fun

  On Tuesday 29th October we are holding a Halloween Fun Day in school. All pupils in nursery - P7 can come in fancy dress, a Halloween themed lunch available on that day.

  In the evening The Friends Of Drumgor have organised a P4 -P7 Halloween Disco. Tickets are priced at £2 (including refreshments) and can be purchased from the school office. We hope to see all our pupils turned out in their fancy dress outfits!

• Macmillan Coffee Morning

  Many Thanks to Mrs Downing and Mrs Crooks for arranging our annual coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Trust. The two ladies worked very hard to provide a beautiful break for the other members of staff. The ladies would also like to say thank-you for the generous donations given.

   

  

• Harvest Service

  You are cordially invited to join our P1- P7 pupils for a Harvest Service at Craigavon Baptist Church on Monday 7th October at 9.30 am where the choir will be performing.

  The church continues to support the foodbank in Drumgor Community Centre. The aim is to help local people in crisis. We would like to support this worthy cause at our harvest time and would suggest that the pupils could bring one item of non-perishable food to place on the Harvest Table. 

  Thank-you in anticipation for your generosity and we look forward to seeing you on Monday.

• Interview Week

  There will be parent-teacher meetings held on afternoons during the week 21 – 25 October 2013.  In order to facilitate as many parents as require interviews, school will close at 2.00pm each afternoon during that week. Further information will be sent out in due course.

• 3G Pitch for Drumgor Primary

  We are delighted to announce that work is due to start at the beginning of October on a 3G Synthetic Pitch to replace the school’s hardcore pitch. This venture, in collaboration with Craigavon City FC, will mean that Drumgor Primary School will be the first primary school in Northern Ireland to have a full size 3G Synthetic Pitch. Work is due to be completed in 14 weeks.

• Science on Wheels Arrives in School

   The pupils of Primary 4 -7 really welcomed 'The Science on Wheels' Lorry on Wednesday 18th September. The sides of the lorry opened out to provide a cinema style theatre where the children watched a video and enjoyed a show about space. The children really enjoyed their 'Fly Me to the Moon' experience!
